So Gstreamer is not playing radio streams with.mp3 file associations, python installs the user meson for gstreamer but can not find it in the bin, no matter how many pkg's and apt's i have tried to install to get gstreamer working it tells me a plugin is missing.VLC will not install. several other apt's from ubuntu software app do not install either most not even related to music or video.Ubuntu Software app has been telling me every day that fire fox needs updating but says it can not update it when i try.these are the results of several update commands in terminal

I guess it only detects 3TB because that is all that is internal.
Im not sure how important the interactions between hardware and software are in a Linux/GNU based system so I put the full spec as well.
I am wandering if since there seems to be an issue with updating and the first command is mentioning something about a release file I am wandering if the files are going to the correct place or if the pkg's and apt's are looking in the correct place ?
It is not just gstreamer and firefox, 50% of the time when I go to install something and 80% of the time when doing updates im getting errors in terminal or ubuntu software.
as far as i can tell the only software that is not working properly is media related; media players, audio players, video players, radio, music editors etc.. it seems to allways go back to gstreamer and an issue with some missing plugin that i assume is related to .mp3 file types because that is the file type that always brings up the problem.
Bigger problem for me is all my music on my local storage is .mp3
